Created exclusively for the ICA on the occasion of our 2018 exhibition Art in the Age of the Internet, 1989 to Today, this limited edition lenticular card was made in collaboration with exhibiting artist Penelope Umbrico. For her ongoing “Suns from Sunsets Flickr” project, the artist explores the “sunsets” tag on Flickr and pulls images for her photo collage and video works. This piece combines three separate sunsets, viewable in motion as the card is moved up and down. The back includes an artist statement as well as space to write an address so that it can be sent as a postcard.
